How to AirPlay Audio From Your Mac to HomePod

AirPlaying audio from Mac to HomePod has recently become one of my favorite indulgences as it keeps me entertained when I'm working on my computer. Setting up Mac to stream music to HomePod via AirPlay is a breeze and you would really like to have a go at it to ensure your music time keeping rocking—just like mine!

I enjoy listening music while working on Mac. It keeps my mood cheered up and doesn’t let boredom creep into my work. With HomePod readily available to entertain my music time, I never seem to get enough of songs and albums that thrill me to the core. Indeed, AirPlaying audio from Mac to HomePod is absolute fun, and you must have a got at it to believe how exciting it is!

To get started, you have to ensure that audio settings are accessible from the menu bar on your Mac. And then, select HomePod as an audio output to beam music from your macOS device to HomePod. Just be sure that your Mac and HomePod are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Enable Volume in the Menu Bar On Your Mac

Step #1. Open System Preferences on your Mac.

Step #4. Next, check the Show volume in menu bar box.

Step #5. Now, you need to select HomePod as an Audio Output Device from the Menu Bar. To do so, click on the volume button in the menu bar.

Step #6. Under the Output Device list, you need to select HomePod, which would be labeled as the room that it’s in.

How to AirPlay Audio from iTunes to HomePod

Once you have enabled volume in the menu bar on your Mac and selected HomePod as an output device, you can comfortably AirPlay audio to the speaker.

You can use the audio output settings to AirPlay music from third-party services to Mac. But when playing songs from iTunes, you have the option to use the built-in iTunes AirPlay controls.

Step #1. Open iTunes on your computer and then play the song from Apple Music or your music library.

Step #2. Now, click on the AirPlay icon.

Step #3. Next, choose HomePod icon.

And that’s it! Now, enjoy music to your heart’s liking.
