With iOS 10, an all new stock app “Home” has arrived. It provides an ultra-convenient HomeKit control solution. Primed to let you control several HomeKit enabled accessories with optimum ease, Home had been on the wish-lists of many iPhone users, including me.
The Home app allows you to separate your house into two different rooms. Moreover, you can add some smart items which are there in those specific rooms in order to control them perfectly. Want to find out how it works? Let's check out!
How to Add a Room in Home App in iOS 10 on iPhone or iPad
Step #1. Launch the Home app on your iPhone.
Step #2. Next up, you have to tap on Rooms tab at the bottom.
Step #3. Tap on the tiny “three lines with dots” from the top left corner.
Step #4. Next, you will have to tap on Room Settings at the bottom.
Step #5. Tap on Add Room.
Step #6. Under Room Name, enter the name of the room in the text field.
Step #7. Under Room Wallpaper, you have the option to add room wallpaper. You can either take a photo or choose from the existing ones. (We will select one nice one from the photo library.)
Step #8. In the Camera Roll, you have to tap on the photo you want to set as your room wallpaper.
Step #9. Up next, you will have to tap on Set from the bottom right corner.
Step #10. Tap on Done from the top right corner to confirm.
How to Remove Room from Home App in iOS 10 on iPhone and iPad
In case, if you want to remove room from Home App in iOS 10
Step #1. Open Home app → Tap on Rooms tab.
Step #2. Tap on 3 horizontal lines from the top left corner.
Step #4. Tap on Room Settings.
Step #5. Select room you want to remove.
Step #6. Tap on Remove Room.
Step #7. Tap on Remove to confirm.
Indeed, Home is a welcome addition to iOS. I'm sure once iOS 10 is publicly released this fall, iPhone owners would really appreciate it.
