With watchOS 3, Apple Watch has become more competent and versatile than ever before. Boasting of several all new watch faces, iOS-style Notification and Control Center and more, the latest watchOS has finally delivered the goods.
One of the most significant features in watchOS 3 is Dock, which lets you quickly find as well as switch to your most used apps. You can invoke the Dock by just pressing the Side button of your wearable device.
On earlier watchOS versions, Friends carousel used to get invoked when you pressed the Side button. This functionality wasn't that important. Several Watch users, including me, used to feel that this button can be better utilized.
Fortunately, Apple has brought the much-needed change in the form of the Dock which makes it so easy to add and access frequently used apps on the smartwatch. Here is how it works at its very best!
How to Add Apps to the Dock in watchOS 3 on Apple Watch
Step #1. First off, you will have to open the app on your Watch that you want to add.
Step #2. Next up, you have to press the Side button to open the Dock.
Step #3. Tap on Keep in Dock.
After you have added an app to the dock, it will remain there until you remove it. You can add up to 10 apps to the dock.
How to Remove Apps from the Dock in watchOS 3
If you no longer want to keep any app in the Dock, there is an easy way to get rid of it.
Step #1. Simply press the Side button to open the Dock on your Apple Watch.
Step #2. Next up, you have to swipe up on the app.
Step #3. Finally, tap on the Remove button.
How to Rearrange Apps in the Dock on Apple Watch
In order to rearrange apps in the dock, you need to tap and hold (not force touch) and drag the app exactly where you want to place it.
With watchOS 3, it's quite simple to change, add, remove or even rearrange watch faces right from your paired iPhone. The newest watchOS version has indeed made the wearable device more elegant.
