How To Add Emergency Contacts To iOS 11's Emergency SOS Feature
Step #1. First of all, launch Settings app on your iPhone. Then, tap on “Emergency SOS.”
Step #2. Then, tap on “Set up Emergency Contacts in Health.”
Step #3. Next, the Health app will open. You will see “Medical ID” page. Tap on “Create Medical ID.”
Step #4. Now, you can add/edit information related to your Medical ID. For instance, you have the option to add the date of birth, medical conditions, medical notes. There is also an option to add a photo.
You need to scroll down under Emergency Contacts, Tap on add emergency contact.
Step #5. Next up, “Contacts” list will open. Select the contact you want to add to your emergency contact list.
Step #6. Upon selecting the contact, “Relationship” page will open. Select relevant relationship.
Step #7. Finally, tap on “Done” at the top right corner to confirm.
If you want to add more contact, follow through the same process.
How to Edit/Delete Emergency Contacts in iOS 11 on iPhone
Step #1. Open Settings app → Emergency SOS.
Step #2. Tap on “Edit Emergency Contacts in Health.”
Step #3. Next, you need to tap on Edit at the top right corner.
Step #4. Now, edit your medical ID information.
Scroll down and tap on the red minus button to the left of the contact you want to remove → tap on Delete → tap on Done at the top right corner to confirm the change.
