Of course, Google Maps and Apple Maps are ruling the roost. But Waze, a navigation app for iOS, has got all the features to give them a good run for their own money. Recently, the app has added a new feature called “OK Waze” which works pretty much like Siri in letting you carry out several things using commands. While it works well, the only downside of this feature is that Siri doesn’t work when you are using Waze on your iPhone.
It’s because “OK Waze” uses the microphone of the iPhone when you are using the navigation app; thereby preventing Siri from working. So, to fix this issue, you need to disable it to make Apple’s intelligent personal assistant function without any hindrance.
Hey Siri Not Working While using Waze? Here’s why
Step #1. Launch Waze app on your iOS device.
Step #2. Now, tap the search button (looks like magnifying glass) at the bottom left of the screen.
Step #3. Next, tap the settings button at the top left corner.
Step #4. Next up, tap on Sound & Voice.
Step #5. Now, you need to tap Talk to Waze.
Step #6. Up next, tap the switch next to Say “OK Waze.”
After you have disabled OK Waze, Hey Siri will now function properly even when you are using this navigation app on your iOS device.
That’s it!
Wrapping up:
I have always found Waze smart and up to the task as far as functionality is concerned. Let’s us know your feedback about it and the features you’d like to see in this app.
