Do Not Disturb is a very useful feature in iOS. When DND is enabled, calls and alerts are silenced while the iPhone is locked.
Though DND is quite helpful, you may miss out some important calls or may not be able to reply to any urgent message in time.
iOS 10 has solved this problem as it allows you to enable Emergency Bypass for specific contacts. But do you know that you can turn on EB for some of your special contacts with whom you talk on FaceTime right from this stock social networking app? It’s pretty simple to get on with. But, we thought it would be better to let you know.
How to Enable Emergency Bypass for Individual FaceTime Contacts in iOS 10 on iPhone/iPad
Step #1. Launch FaceTime app on your iPhone.
Step #2. Next up, you need to enter the name of the contact for which you wish to enable Emergency Bypass. (Alternately, you can tap on the “i” button which is far right to the contact, if it is already there on the chat screen.)
Step #3. Now, you will have to tap on Edit from the top right-hand corner.
Step #4. Up next, scroll down until you see Ringtone and Text Tone.
If you want the ringtone even when DND is enabled on your device, simply tap on it and then toggle ON the switch next to Emergency Bypass.
Likewise, if you want the text tone, then tap on it and then turn on the switch next to EB.
