Step #1. Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone.

That's done! You have successfully deleted specific media from the chat.
You can now send a message even without the internet using WhatsApp on your iPhone. To do so, simply type the message and hit the send button even if you are offline. Your message will be queued up and as soon as your device has the internet connection the message will be sent.
