If rumors had it all correct, then ‘iPhone 11 Pro’ would be the name among the upcoming offerings from the Apple 2019 iPhone series. This gained currency from CoinX, an anonymous Twitter user who has been attributed for the ‘reliable’ information by several respected digital media.
Apple has always kept analysts and fans guessing for long regarding the nomenclature of its new iPhone products – be it successors among the series or pedigreed. And now CoinX adds to the mystery!

See you next week
Now, in the latest CoinX tweet it raises a question regarding suffix ‘Pro’ for iPhone?
“Pro” for iPhone? Crazy naming schemes over the past few years.— CoinX (@coiiiiiiiin) August 10, 2019
We saw iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR among the last offerings that confirmed the previous ‘naming of iPhone’ trends.
There are several counts on which the naming takes place. First one is that new features are coming like the new triple cameras in a square block or new Under-display finger ID feature. As regards upgrade, there will be a better camera with better resolution, or RAM upgrade 64GB to 256 GB, etc.
Here, the ‘Plus’ era may or may not continue at least from ominous signs that show resorting to alpha signs.
For ‘Plus,’ we noticed a striking consistency that had four models in, since iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus. So, our guess is as good as any one’s, and we expect ‘Plus’ to get the feature for a model that may debut this September.
Apple is then rumored to bring out two higher-end 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED display models and one with low priced 6.1-inch LCD display. Media is abuzz with some features such as triple-lens rear cameras on the higher-end models, larger batteries, two-way charging of AirPods, and much more will be brought out by Apple then.
MacRumors says, “For what it’s worth, MacRumors received the following anonymous tip on August 4: “The square camera iPhone will be called the iPhone 11 Pro. This is a fact. It would be a disservice to our readers to simply pass along any unsubstantiated tip we receive, but it is now worth mentioning in light of this tweet.”
So, if we go by the ‘Pro’ suffix in Apple iPhone 11 Pro like in iPad Pro, it is meant for Professionals and carries itself in line with the features that are required by them. In addition, it will offer better pictures in terms of resolutions and AR/VR experience.
Thus, new features or upgrade alike, the naming of Apple iPhones just like any new Apple iPhone, iPad or other offerings, will always remain an enigma and hype that keeps its fans and customer, on tenterhooks.
Signing off it is too early to say anything, but the proof of the pudding is to eat. So, we wait for our turn!
