Somehow, there aren’t many good reddit clients for the iPhone. Of course that doesn’t mean there aren’t “any”. In that sense, four apps stand out as the finest Reddit clients we’ve seen/used at some point of time.
Now, we know a lot of you might already know of these (at least two of these). But for those of you who are new but are addicted to reddit like we are, here’s a collection of the best reddit apps for the iPhone. They’re also (re)designed for iOS 7.
#1. Alien Blue
Alien Blue got a recent fresh coat of paint for iOS 7. It’s not just one of the popular Reddit apps but it’s THE most popular app that most iPhone users use. The app comes with a ton of features that are native to web. From browsing the hot topics to commenting, editing comments and notifications, Alien Blue does everything almost perfectly. The free version can be upgraded with an in-app purchase of $1.99 to get additional PRO features like Link previews, image galleries, quoting etc.

Mars for Reddit (formerly Ruby for Reddit) is a light-weight, simple and minimalist reddit client for the iPhone. It features an interface that loads fast, is feature-rich and yet has a very simplistic approach to browsing reddit. You have two theme options to pick from (light and dark). It’s one of the easiest ways to keep a tab on all the subreddits you’re subscribed to. The app also features a passcode lock (on launch) that protects your reddit account from unauthorized access.

Upvote is an old app but it finds a mention here because it has been flat and iOS 7-ish right from the start. It’s not a very popular Reddit client and has some limitations of its own but it’s a good place if you prefer a free client without hidden/blocked features. What it provides, it provides completely. Also, larger image previews in story list, which is great.
Some people call BeaconReader the best Reddit app for iPhone ever. I don’t know because I haven’t used it much except for testing purposes but from the looks of it, BeaconReader definitely looks great. It mimics a very mobile-native interface that matches the minimalism of iOS 7. You can add multiple reddit accounts too. But then again, an in-app purchase of $4.99 unlocks many of the advertised features.
