For audiophiles, a good earphone and a great earphone makes all the difference in the music experience. While the iPhone (and most iDevices) come with an excellent set of speakers and earphone accessories (the Apple earpods), many other earphones give a better audio output and therefore, a more excellent music experience. What we’ve tried to do is pick the best and also ones that are not insanely costly. A high-end Bose earphone is great, but not everyone’s purse fits that. Here are the best iPhone earphones for a high-quality music experience for both audiophiles and the rest of us:
#1. NuForce NE-600 M/X
There’s a bunch of NuForce NE- earphones out there and the N-600M and 600X are two of these. The earphones are from the lower-end of the spectrum regarding cost vs. quality, but their audio isolation is excellent. Their bass quality is quite good. For an entry-level choice earphone, the NuForce NE 600M or 600X is a pretty good deal.
#2. RHA – MA350
The RHA – MA350 is an entry-level earphone from popular audio accessory maker RHA. With gold-plated Y shaped cable, aircraft-grade aluminum and a 130.5 dynamic driver for a rich, isolated sound output, the RHA-MA350 is just the type of earphones you want when you’re looking for long-lasting and high-fidelity iPhone earphones.
#3. Plantronics BackBeat Go
If something’s got the seal of approval from PC Mag, we’re obviously talking about quality. Plantronics BackBeat Go is a special earphone built for all those runs and marathons. But it also acts as one of the finest earphones you can get. Did I mention that it’s a wireless earbud? There are inline controls along with some interesting features that make the earphone sweat-proof. I don’t spill coffee over my earphone, but these folks have made the Plantronics BackBeat Go powerful enough to withstand a coffee spill too.
#4. Sennheiser MM 70
This one needs no introduction. One of the finest of the lot, the Sennheiser MM70 is the $100 earphone that the company sells specifically under the iPhone earphone category. The 3.5mm jack fits any phone (Android, Windows, BlackBerry, and iOS) and it brings one of the best audio isolation in town. It’s one of the more common earphones amongst audiophiles.
All said, it has a 3.5/5 rating with treble being the high-point of the earphone.
#5. Apple Earpods
Ultimately, if you’re looking for something that’s trusty, worth-while and just plain good, Apple’s Earpods are always available. The redesigned earpods were marketed by Apple has some leading design in the industry, but they’re just good to go.
