Apple has launched its flagship smartphone; the iPhone 6. One of the first things you’d ideally be looking for is protective cases for a thin, light-weight smartphone.

Almost every big name in the iPhone case manufacturing business has put out a lot of varieties of iPhone 6/6s cases already. From Belkin to Spigen and more, you have a ton of options to pick from. Here’s a collection of ten best iPhone 6/6s cases:

This is perhaps the most minimalist iPhone 6/6s case out there. It’s a thin, flexible, form-fitting case. While the case is not built for heavy-duty, it will protect your iPhone 6/6s from bumps, scratches and dust. Raised lips over the screen protect the iPhone 6/6s when it is placed facedown.

#2. Cygnett AeroGrip

Cygnett AeroGrip Case for iPhone 6

Cygnett has a bunch of iPhone 6/6s cases that includes the UrbanShield and WorkMate. But there’s one slim, light-weight, form-fitting case that caught my attention. The AeroGrip. Cygnett’s AeroGrip is a polycarbonate iPhone 6/6s case; you could call it minimalist too. There are a three color options to pick from (black, grey, white).

It snaps on your iPhone 6 snugly. The slightly raised lips protect the iPhone 6’s display when it’s kept flat on its face. There are grips for your fingers to hold the iPhone 6 safely. Couple that with appropriate cutouts and you’ve got a decent-looking case for under $20.

#4. Spigen Neo Hybrid

Spigen iPhone 6 Neo Hybrid Case

Spigen was probably the first major brand to come up with iPhone 6/6s cases on pre-order (they put it up on Amazon). At the time of writing this, there are at least five varieties of iPhone 6 cases. Our pick: Neo Hybrid for its class. It stays true to its name: it’s a hybrid of a classic shiny-plastic case and a slim hard-shell for good protection.

The spec reads “web pattern TPU case”. There’s a soft premium cover contained within a hard polycarbonate framing. The metallic finish on the frame and the button caps looks cool. It’s not a bumper case but resembles one. Excellent protection from shock, accidental bumps and such.

#5. PureGear HIP Case+

PureGear HIP Case+ for iPhone 6

PureGear HIP Case+ iPhone 6/6s case is one of its kind. It’s a wallet case, a holster, a thin-shell case all rolled into one. It suits best for folks that like an iPhone 6 holster case. It is a little bulky even though they’ve tried to keep it thin. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for solid protection and a hassle-free way to carry it, this case should be a good option.

The PureGear HIP Case+ lets you detach the iPhone 6/6s (with its own casing) so you can leave the holster away too. And you can slide in a couple of your credit/ID cards into the holster-part of the case.

#6. Griffin Survivor Core

Griffin Survivor Core iPhone 6 Case

Griffin’s got a huge bunch of iPhone 6/6s cases on its catalog. The Survivor Core is a hybrid: it’s slim but it’s also heavy-duty. It can absorb shocks from drops of about 2 meters and protect the iPhone 6/6s. The case features a light-weight shell made of polycarbonate and TPE edges that keep the iPhone 6 safe.

The case isn’t extremely thin but it sure is form-fitting and light-weight.

#7. Incipio DualPro Hard Shell

Incipio DualPro Hard Shell iPhone 6 Case

Incipio comes out with some of the coolest iPhone cases and they’re repeating the feat with iPhone 6/6s. The DualPro hard shell boasts a hard polycarbonate frame coupled with a TPU core. Typically, the DualPro can handle wear and tear much more than any other average hard-shell.

But what makes it stand out is that it looks aesthetically beautiful. The Incipio DualPro is also lightweight despite the heavy-duty materials and features a soft finish so it’s easy on the hands.

#8. Otterbox Symmetry Series

Otterbox Symmetry Series Case for iPhone 6

Otterbox usually comes up with heavy armor cases that protect the iPhone from extreme levels of shock, dust, sand, even water etc. The Symmetry Series for iPhone 6/6s is a departure (although not new to Otterbox). Also, it’s still a heavy-duty case with dual-material construction.

The case can absorb shock that can emanate from accidental drops. The strong, hard-shell back keeps scratches at bay. The beveled (raised lip) framework will protect the screen when your iPhone 6/6s is placed facedown.

#9. Grovemade Walnut Leather

Grovemade Walnut Leather iPhone 6 Case

This is for folks who prefer a luxury case to a polycarbonate hardshell. Grovemade makes some of the finest hand-crafted wood-based cases for the iPhone (and other devices). The Walnut and Leather iPhone 6/6s case is a top-of-the-line product that features a walnut case and a leather flap to cover the iPhone 6 completely.

At about $130, it’s more of a statement in style but the case does protect your iPhone 6 too. The high-quality leather and excellent wood finish on the case keep dust, scratches and routine wear and tear away from your iPhone 6/6s.

#10. Invellop Wallet

Invellop iPhone 6 Wallet Case

Invellop is an awesome, rugged-looking leather wallet case for the iPhone 6/6s. Like most wallet cases, you can carry a few cards and some cash with this case. But that’s only secondary to the overall protection for the iPhone 6/6s case.

High-quality leather, a form-fitting design, a professional look (aesthetically rugged would be a word I’d use) and lots of color options. (Also check out our round-up of some of the best iPhone 6 wallet cases)

#11. Luvvitt Ultra Armor

Luvvitt iPhone 6 Ultra Armor Case

While there’s nothing specifically out-of-the-box in this one, the Luvvitt iPhone 6/6s armor case is a standard-issue case that is really good. It is backed by a similar construction as in Otterbox or other dual-layered cases. The polycarbonate shell comes with a TPU core that absorbs shocks. And then there’s the usual level of dust and scratch protection.

The case snaps on to your iPhone 6/6s easily and has cutouts for easy access to the camera and the mute switch. Button caps for the power and volume buttons keep them protected.

#12. Trident Cyclops

Trident Cyclops iPhone 6 Case

Cyclops from Trident is an armor case that looks nice. Unlike Otterbox’s armor cases, this one isn’t too bulky. It features a bio-enhanced polycarbonate shell in a two-piece design. The front-frame also features a screen protector. The case can absorb shocks, protect the phone from drops and dust and scratches and most other risks it is exposed to. One cool thing about Cyclops is that the ports are ‘covered’ but you can pop them open when you want to access them. Available in a bunch of colors.

#13. X-Doria Scene Plus
X-Doria Scene Plus iPhone 6 Case

If you’d like a minimally artistic case instead, X-Doria Scene Plus for the iPhone 6/6s could be a good option. It’s nothing fancy both in terms of design and the build. It’s a simple TPU/polycarbonate case featuring a bumper-like profile. There are cutouts for the ports and the camera and button caps for the volume and sleep buttons. The case can, at best, keep dust and scratches away while the bumper edge can protect from hard impacts.
