10 Best Tower Defense Games for iPad and iPad Mini:
#1. Tower Madness 2
Needless to say, the most epic tower defense game on the iPad. The game has multiple versions too (costing $2.99 and $7.99 [HD]) and brings a whole world of tower defense madness into your hands. If you’re a fan of tower defense games, you probably have this game already on your iPad/iPad Mini. If not, this is what MacLife had to say: “If you’re a fan of Tower Defense games, do yourself a huge favor and check out TowerMadness.”

#2. Epic War TD
With over 2.5 million players, Epic War lives up to its name. This TD isn’t the usual cute little game that you often find on the App Store. On the contrary, it’s totally serious and the growing community is a valid testimony. Endless modes, several levels, 14 types of enemies… the list is quite endless.

geoDefense isn’t a “new” game or an “updated” game – it’s been couple of years since the last update but the game has a strong and really addictive gameplay. Beng an old game, you expect not HD graphics and 3D characters but a simple, 2D, sketched canvas where you guard your perimeter. Simple but enormously addictive.
Price: $1.99 (Free for the lite version)
#4. Sentinel 3
Sentinel 3: Homeworld is one of those “okay” kind of tower defense apps for the iPad (iPad Mini) that really get people hooked because it delivers whatever is promised. A good level of details in the graphics mean that the gameplay is as real as it can get. Multiple levels, features and strategies make it even more impressive.

#5. Anomaly Warzone Earth
Anomaly Warzone needs no introduction. It’s one of the most complete and authoritative tower defense games you can ever have on your iPad. The game has a ‘futuristic’ environment with tons of amazing visuals thrown in. Again the attention to detail is Towermesmerizing and serves as one of the strong USPs of the game.
Price: $1.99 (there’s a HD version for $3.99)

#6. Tiny Defense
Somewhere along the line, you tend to think of a funny little game that isn’t all bloodshed and intense and that’s where Tiny Defense surfaces. Interestingly, it’s not a top-down TD for iPad. It’s linear (not side-scrolling) but equally powerful and addictive. Super Mario-styled locations make for a familiar yet unique experience.

#7. 4Towers Onslaught
“Alienish”, freaky and amazingly customizable to create your very own battleground: that pretty much sums up 4Towers Onslaught. First time into the game you see a lot of Decepticons/Autobots-style symbols depicting different weapons. As you go along, you just fall in love with them. The gameplay is fantastic and that’s an understatement.

TapDefense is a funny little game. It isn’t all that amazing if your eyes are too used to the AOE/AOM era but on the iPad/iPad Mini, this does have some difference. But the game is quite deep and you get to play various levels and enemies all along. It’s a battle between hell and heaven. And you’re luckily in heaven but you should protect that against enemies from hell.
#9. Jelly Defense
Tower Defense just isn’t complete without Jelly Defense: the incredibly difficult game that people hate just because the gameplay is so much based on experience rather than your intelligence alone. Jelly Defense has Monsters Inc.-like characters, a very lively atmosphere and a really interesting gameplay.
Price: $2.99 (lite version free)

#10. Bloons TD
Thought listed last, Bloons TD is an unbelievably amazing game with everything in it: awesome graphics, fantastic gameplay which isn’t too littered with intensive details and a really lovable interface. The cost kind of justifies the levels, features, themes, challenges, maps etc. It’s a pretty exhaustive game and comes as a recommendation for serious gamers with an eye on not-so-serious gaming.
Price: $4.99 (lite version free)
