Apple’s all new wearable device has got plenty to win you over. Ready to glance through the major features of Apple Watch S2? Let’s dive ahead!
Apple Watch Series 2 Features, Specs and Price
Water resistant for 50 meters
The Apple Watch Series 2 is “swim” proof. It is water resistant for 50 meters. You would enjoy swimming without being worried about your wearable device.
The speaker on the new Watch has been redesigned to push out water.
Moreover, the Watch now learns about your swimming over time and adjusts accordingly.
The S2 has come with a new chip. The Dual-core processor makes the smartwatch up to 50 percent faster. Better still, it provides twice the graphics performance.
2x Brighter Display
The latest Apple Watch has 2x brighter display. It is claimed to be the brightest display Apple has ever shipped at 1000 nits. Hence, it will be a bit easier to use your Watch in direct sunlight.
The S2 has built-in GPS which can connect to the satellites quickly. The GPS enables the smart to perform mapping even without the connected iPhone. Developers can use the GPS.
Apple was reported to include cellular connectivity but didn’t do so due to the already strained battery.
New Finish: Ceramic
The brand new Watch will come with a new finish: ceramic. It will join the gorgeous company of aluminum, stainless steel and gold Apple Watch cases. Moreover, you have the option to pick Apple Watch Series 2 bands from Hermes and Nike as well. The new Apple Watch Nike Plus band has been designed for runners.
The original Watch has been renamed as Series 1, starts at $269. Apple Watch Series 2 price starts at $369. The preorders for the new Watch will begin from September 9th. (Watch OS 3 is to be available on the 13th.)
The new Watch will be available in late October.
