If it is thin, it is “in”. Following the popular trends of thinner and slimmer product built, Apple is planning to roll out MacBook Air in 13″ and 15″ sizes during the next WWDC likely to be held in June 2016.

According to a report from Economic Daily News (Read translation here) from Taiwan, Apple may launch MacBook Air in the third quarter, i.e. July-September duration.

Though this latest MacBook Air may be launched in a slimmer construction, it is not clear about any 11-inch model from Apple. The company is also planning to revamp the slimmer design with transformation of internal components across the board. Apple is said to be working with its suppliers to develop these new components.

Interestingly, Apple has expanded its notebook series at the outset of 2015 by adding a new MacBook, which was ultrathin machine enabled by a 12-inch Retina display; this machine also utilizes ultra low voltage Intel chips for a fanless design.

Apple has always surprised its buyers; this time also, the brand is going to repeat the history. Apple fans believed that Apple would stop manufacturing MacBook Air; their belief was backed by a simple reason that dwindling costs allowed MacBook to become Apple’s mainstream notebook offering. Hence, a revamped MacBook Air would breathe fresh life in to the series.

Industry experts foresee that Apple may have plans for its future lineup as 12-inch MacBook is popular in ultraportable category; the MacBook Air caters to mainstream users, who prefer 13 and 15 inches and MacBook Pro gives a more powerful option at the same sizes, i.e. 13″ and 15″.
