Apple is partnering with Australia’s leading MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) Macquarie Telecom Group to provide mobility solutions and hardware for its customers from today, say news sources.
Though no official confirmation has come from either side, Small and Medium Enterprises and businesses will benefit the most from this partnership, media reported.
The hardware distribution will happen through Ingram – Apple’s major partner in Australia.

Addressing media, Luke Clifton, Group Executive at Macquarie Telecom said, “This offering will help mid-sized businesses in Australia experience the power and value of Apple.”
He added, “We’re backing the best devices for business coupled with native apps that will see our customers become more mobile, increase productivity and solve more business problems.”
Media also reported that Macquarie’s new business venture will focus on Apple products like iPhones, iPads, and business apps. Further business additions will include a device enrollment program integrated with Apple Business Manager, sources said.
Technology Adoption Through Devices Helps Local Agencies
Research leaders IDC was quoted saying, “Australia is one of the most progressive markets for enterprise mobility in the Asia-Pacific region, with organizations having shifted from a defensive posture to a proactive approach regarding their employees’ use of mobile technologies.”
Besides SMEs, the company will seek prospective clients from among major corporates, local and state governments, and law enforcement agencies, sources added.
As regards technology adoption and induction Apple products back in 2017, The Queensland Police delivers via iPad app – infringement notices, conduct roadside drug testing and handle assigned tasks, among other capabilities.
