Apple Files Six New Apple Watch Models in Eurasian Database

For all Apple Watch users, here is something spicy. Apple has filed six new Apple Watch models in the Eurasian economic database. Apple is likely to launch watches with larger screen size.

After 2018 iPhones, it is 2018 Apple Watch Series 4. A French website Consomac spotted new Apple Watch model identifiers Apple has filed in the Eurasian economic database ahead of its September event.

According to Consomac, Apple is most likely to showcase the new watches in this event, where the company has plans to launch its celebrated three iPhones.

New Apple Watch Models Filed by Apple in Eurasian Database

There are a total of six model identifiers of Series 4, and it will have watchOS 5. From the filings, it seems that Apple is planning to reduce the thickness of its Apple Watch Series 4 as against its previous Apple Watch Series 3.

The website has also revealed model numbers of the new Apple Watch models, which are A1977, A1978, A1975, A1976, A2007, and A2008.

Any smart user can make a sound guess from the device’s description as ‘personal wearable electronic device,’ which doesn’t have any specification in the filing.

Notably, filings in the Eurasian had hinted at the hat on the iPhone 7, Apple Watch Series 2, and AirPods. Moreover, Eurasian filings also suggested WWDC (2017) hardware and $329 iPad earlier this year. These filings also hinted 2018 MacBook Pro refresh last month.

Industry experts believe that Apple is planning to launch three models after giving serious consideration to two sizes per model for Apple Watch Series 4.

Remember, Series 3 has eight models, three cellular devices and a model with GPS feature; all these models are in two sizes.

Experts mull two possibilities: either there will be only cellular-capable models or Apple may discard the idea of pricey ceramic models from the upcoming series. It is too difficult to estimate the filings.

As predicted by Min-Chi Kuo, Apple Watch Series 4 will see some significant design changes. As per the analyst, the dimensions of the future watches will measure 1.57 inches (39.9mm) and 1.78 inches (45.2mm.).

According to the report from Kuo, the larger screen of future Apple Watches would elevate the experience of navigating websites and interacting with them.

Signing off…

Until Mr. Cook unveils the watches at the upcoming event, it’s all guesswork from all experts and analysts. Apple has always created enormous hype before the launch of its flagship products. Every rumor or gossip can be a part of Apple’s policy to create a buzz.
