Apple Pay has added 15 more banks and credit unions in its existing list. The Cupertino-based company added eight card issuers and banks earlier this month. With this addition, Apple Pay now supports more than 45 banks and credit unions.

Apple Pay-compatible Cards and Banks

More than 500 banks and credit unions have already signed up to support Apple Pay. They too are likely to be added in the list in the coming months.

The 15 banks and credit unions which have been added to support Apple Pay are:

Ever since Apple Pay was launched in October last year, it has been strategically tested in USA. And once Apple finds it fully prepared and rid of technical glitches, it will subsequently be rolled out to other countries as well.

The mobile payment is reported to come to Canada from March. It is expected to come to UK from the first half of 2015.

9to5Mac has reported that University of Wisconsin Credit Union supports Apple Pay even though it is yet to be included in the list. The First National Bank which is among the 500 lists of those signed to be supported by the mobile payment has confirmed that it will support Apple Pay from the first quarter of 2015.
