Dozens if not hundreds of Cydia tweaks have been already released for iOS 7. A lot of functionality has been explored – right from customizing the control center to changing the way Notification Center looks and more.

We take a look at five of the little tweaks that make things more beautiful, more functional or more useful on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 7.

7 Interestingly Useful iOS 7 Tweaks for the iPhoneCheck out this pick of five Cydia tweaks designed for iOS 7:

1. TransparentVolume

Someone on reddit asked if it would be possible to remove the background on the volume HUD and the jailbreak community responded with TransparentVolume. Or may be the tweak came before. Anyway, TransparentVolume does exactly that: it removes the slightly-ugly background that accentuates the volume HUD when you press the volume buttons. It’s a cosmetic tweak only but it’s pretty good.

2. Percentage

Percentage is a tweak designed as an amalgamation of a couple of battery-related tweaks and features. Percentage hides the battery percentage unless it is low (20%). When your battery level hits the lower level, Percentage will show the battery percentage number. Think of it as a simple and smart battery percentage indicator. Saves the space on the status bar till it’s time to warn you about the battery.

3. Purge

Amidst a few kill-background-apps tweak like SwitchSpring, Purge is a simple kill-all tweak. You invoke Purge by swiping on a card from the multi-task switcher (double-press home button). Purge will ask you to confirm quitting all background apps. Purge is probably the simplest of all background kill tweaks available at the moment on Cydia. It’s built specifically for iOS 7.

4. BetrFoldr

If you like features like nested folders, pinch to close and transparency (no background), BetrFoldr is a great tweak to start with. It’s a tweak that lets you put folders within folders – a good thing for people with a ton of apps and a need to be organized. It also removes the background monotone from the folder view which actually looks better than the default view.

5. TapTodaysCalendar

This is one of the most coolest and quirkiest tweaks I’ve seen in a while. TapTodaysCalendar works this way: open the Notification Center and tap on the large, date info on the top that goes (Today is..). This will take you to the Calendar app! I know it seems a very useless tweak at first but if you are the user who needs to access the Calendar app many times in a day, this is a time-saving tweak.
