iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users have had to face plenty of terrible bugs such as, touchscreen being suddenly unresponsive, Camera app getting freeze etc. There could be many reasons of such unexpected issues including software glitch.

Of late, many iPhone 6/6 Plus users have reported 3G & LTE connectivity issue on their devices. They have done everything possible but this issue hasn’t been resolved. So, what’s the fix to this 3G & LTE issue? How can it be solved?

Check Your Cellular Connection

Check your cellular connection to make sure everything is fine with it.

Step #1. Launch Settings app.

Step #2. Tap on Mobile.

Remove the SIM Card/Restart Your iPhone

Sometimes, restarting your phone can automatically fix a few issues. Let’s see if it can help.

Step #1. Power down your iPhone.

Step #2. Remove the SIM card and reinsert it.

Step #3. Restart your phone: Press and hold on the sleep/wake button and when the red slider appears drag it to switch off your device.

Step #4. After a while, press and hold on the sleep/wake button to switch on your iPhone.

Turn Off SIM PIN

Turn off SIM PIN, if you have accidentally enabled it. SIM PIN is used to prevent access to cellular data network. If you want to use cellular data, you need to enter the PIN when you swap SIM cards or happen to restart your iPhone or iPad (Wi Fi + Cellular Models) . One thing is to be remembered, it applies to devices that works with SIM card.

Note: There are some carriers which provide default SIM PIN enabled with their SIM Cards. You can contact your carrier to check your default SIM PIN.

Reset Network Settings

Resetting Network settings can bring the solution. However, before moving ahead with the process, you should know that resetting the network will remove all the previous settings such as, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN settings, preferred network etc.

Step #1. Launch Settings app.

Step #2. Tap on General.

Step #3. Scroll down and tap on Reset.

Step #4. Tap on Reset Network Settings.

If you haven’t yet got the solution, you should contact your carrier.

  • Contact your carrier to make sure your account is properly set up and there is no problem with the current data plan.
  • Check out the error messages in the carrier logs.

Carrier Settings Update

Check out if there is any update regarding carrier settings. Carrier setting updates contain small files. The updates can be from both Apple and carrier to carrier settings like, network, cellular data, calling, voicemail settings, messaging, personal hotspot etc. Whenever there is any new update, you may receive notifications.

If a carrier releases mandatory update, it will be displayed only on OK button and not Update Button. It is done to let you know that the particular update was downloaded and installed.

iOS Software Update

If there is any latest software update available, update your iPhone. If you use your iPhone’s Personal Hotspot for the internet connection of your computer, then you can update your iPhone wirelessly otherwise connect your computer to another network.

Step #1. Plug your iPhone to power source.

Step #2. Launch Settings app.

Step #3. Tap on General.

Step #4. Tap on Software Update.

Restore Your iPhone As New

If all the above mentioned solutions and tricks haven’t fixed the issue, restoring your iPhone can work as the last resort. Before moving ahead, you must back up your device. Restoring your iPhone as new will delete all the media and data and install the newest version of software.

Step #1. Connect your iPhone with Mac or PC.

Step #2. Launch iTunes.

Step #3. Select your iPhone from the left menu.

Step #4. Click on Restore iPhone.

Step #5. Click on Restore and Update to confirm
