Apple MacBook 15-inch Undergoes Revision This Year with Touch Bar, Touch ID, & Faster CPUs

Now, Quanta has been ordered to produce MacBook Pro, and the new model will sport 16-inch display lined with a very narrow bezel surrounding it. This in effect provides very slim and stylish looks for the 16-inch, unlike the existing 15-inch model. No comments nor confirmation was forthcoming from the MacBook supply chain major so far, said the media.

The news mentioned that the original 15-inch unibody aluminum alloy design remains unchanged while a larger – 16-inch display gets embedded for the visual delight of Mac fans.

New Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch Positioned in Competitive Space Estimated To Cross $3K Mark

LG Electronics recently put up LG Gramm 17, a 17-inch screen fitted in a 15.6-inch body. Acer’s Swift 7 has a 14-inch screen set in 13-inch body in which, the screen accounted for 92% of the body and frame. Also, Asus’s ZeoBook S13, which is a 13-inch screen grooved in 12-inch body, has 97% screen area. So, Apple with 15-inch MacBook Pro needed a model that would cater to such a Professional segment that it addressed satisfying them by offering larger screen space to work on and delight visually.

Regarding price, Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch is expected to be priced higher, fetching more profits to the company on lower sales volumes. LG Display will supply the LCD screen with 3,072 x 1,920 resolution instead of the OLED screen. This is higher than the current MacBook Pro top model’s specification of 2,880 x 1,800. Digitimes estimates the new Apple Macbook Pro 16-inch estimated at NT$100,000 ($3220 approximately).

Returning to the launch time for Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch, conservative sources still bet on October though Digitimes forecasts September. They argue that the Cupertino major usually announces new iPhone models in September followed by an announcement of new iMac, iPad, and other such devices launch in October.
