As the buzz grows louder, Apple MacBook Pro with 16-inch LCD screen and narrow bezel manufactured by Taiwan based Quanta, will be out in September 2019, says Digitimes. So, the plan to unveil the MacBook Pro to thrill its fans with an excellent display and slim body is on as Quanta, its manufacturer/supplier, readies for its despatches.
Sales of MacBook Pro have not matched the company forecast, but Digitimes in its report attributes the same to weak traction in the markets and limited visibility indicating lower production.
Apple MacBook 15-inch Undergoes Revision This Year with Touch Bar, Touch ID, & Faster CPUs
MacBook Pro got a revision last May, and the present 15-inch MacBook Pro got 9th-generation Intel processors then. Again during the back to school shopping season in July this year, Apple in its entry-level MacBook Pro brought in Touch Bar, Touch ID, and faster CPUs.
Now, Quanta has been ordered to produce MacBook Pro, and the new model will sport 16-inch display lined with a very narrow bezel surrounding it. This in effect provides very slim and stylish looks for the 16-inch, unlike the existing 15-inch model. No comments nor confirmation was forthcoming from the MacBook supply chain major so far, said the media.
The news mentioned that the original 15-inch unibody aluminum alloy design remains unchanged while a larger – 16-inch display gets embedded for the visual delight of Mac fans.
Taiwanese Casing Industry looks Upbeat on MacBook Pro’s Large Screen
In another significant development mentioned in the news, the Taiwanese casing industry looks upbeat with Apple MacBook Pro inducting larger screen size. This news has excited the already depressed supply chain market due to the looming trade war between the US and China.
The new norm on display set a flurry of activities on the casing supply front. Apple MacBook Pro sporting a very slim look on account of a narrow bezel, kind off generated new impetus to the nervous casing industry.
New Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch Positioned in Competitive Space Estimated To Cross $3K Mark
LG Electronics recently put up LG Gramm 17, a 17-inch screen fitted in a 15.6-inch body. Acer’s Swift 7 has a 14-inch screen set in 13-inch body in which, the screen accounted for 92% of the body and frame. Also, Asus’s ZeoBook S13, which is a 13-inch screen grooved in 12-inch body, has 97% screen area. So, Apple with 15-inch MacBook Pro needed a model that would cater to such a Professional segment that it addressed satisfying them by offering larger screen space to work on and delight visually.
Regarding price, Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch is expected to be priced higher, fetching more profits to the company on lower sales volumes. LG Display will supply the LCD screen with 3,072 x 1,920 resolution instead of the OLED screen. This is higher than the current MacBook Pro top model’s specification of 2,880 x 1,800. Digitimes estimates the new Apple Macbook Pro 16-inch estimated at NT$100,000 ($3220 approximately).
Returning to the launch time for Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch, conservative sources still bet on October though Digitimes forecasts September. They argue that the Cupertino major usually announces new iPhone models in September followed by an announcement of new iMac, iPad, and other such devices launch in October.
So far, we may consider September launch for the Apple MacBook Pro while official sources are silent on it. While bidding for time, we hope to tell you more about it.
In case you have any idea about the story, then tell us about your expectations from the likely newbie from Apple. We’d love to hear all of it. Cheers!!
