5 Best MMORPGs for iPhone: You Would Love to Have on Your iDevice
Many people buy Apple’s iPhones and iPads not only to use them to make calls or surf the net, but also to play games on them when there’s much free time. And which are the coolest games one can play on a cool phone? Right, RPGs and MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games). Yeah, I know that one can play simpler games like Angry Birds or Sudoku, too, but well, you can play these on all other phones, too. But if you have a brand-new Apple iPhone 5, you’ll definitely want to try a more “serious” game on it.
So which are the best MMORPGs you can play on your Apple iPhone?
If you love World of Warcraft, you’ll most likely love Order & Chaos, too. Perhaps it’s not as big and complete as the famous WoW, but it’s still one of the best MMORPGs for the iPhone, and not many others can compete with it.
Order & Chaos actually has everything a MMORPG should have: nice graphics (well, for a mobile game, of course), a big fantasy world, 4 races (including elves!), customizable characters, a wide range of skills and abilities and much more.
Unfortunately, the game is not for free, but I guess it’s worth the $6.99 you’ll have to pay for it when you download it from iTunes.
Compatibility: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later.
2). Kingdom Conquest
Kingdom Conquest is thought to be one of the most ambitious MMORPGs for mobile phones, since it’s a unique mix of city management (like in games like Farmville), real-time combat (like in most RPGs and action games) and strategy.
Kingdom Conquest can be downloaded for free, and it’s a big plus: even if you don’t like the game (which is not likely), you’ll just remove it and not feel sorry for the money spent on it.
Compatibility: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later.
3D MMO Celtic Heroes is one of the best-looking mobile MMOs I’ve ever seen. Set in an exciting Celtic fantasy world, this game offers you a cool experience of discovering the world around, gaining experience, learning new skills and improving the existing ones, choosing clothes and weapons and of course becoming a true Celtic hero.
Celtic Heroes is free, and it works on both the iPhone and the iPad.
Compatibility: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 3.2 or later.
4). Parallel Kingdom
Parallel Kingdom is the next great MMORPG from our list, and it’s completely free, playable on all iDevices running iOS 4.3 and higher. It may look a bit simple, but I guess it’s one of the most interesting mobile games you’ve ever played.
It offers fully customizable characters and their avatars, in-game and player-to-player trading, a lot of interesting skills, a big world and of course many events where you can participate just like all other players (they say 1.5 million people from all over the world are playing it, so there’s a huge community to join).
Compatibility: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later.
5). Dark Legends
Do you love vampires? Everyone loves vampires!
Yes, Dark Legends is about vampires. So if you want to dive into a black, dark world, unlock special vampire powers, kill zombies and do all other things MMO players do, Dark Legends is your game of choice!
Compatibility: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later.
